About Peer Pathways to Wellness
Established in March of 2019, Peer Pathways to Wellness is our trailblazing direct peer support service program! Our Peer Support Professionals work with and support those who are experiencing life challenges such as homelessness, criminal justice system-involvement, substance use conditions, mental health conditions, trauma, and more. We are proud to provide one of the only peer-run peer support programs in the state.
Peer Support Professionals (PSP) move the needle on self-directed, self-determined care for individuals, because we know and share the many pathways to recovery and wellness; we provide peer support participants with a choice, allowing them to be intrinsically involved in determining their own pathway, and empowering them to walk this chosen path to recovery with Peer Support Professionals right beside them.
Our range of supports include:
Empathetic Listening
Our Peer Support Professionals (PSPs) are deeply committed to listening and meeting people where they are. Our PSPs all have lived experience and are thriving in recovery with substance use, mental health, trauma, and/or co-occurring conditions.
Connecting to Resources
We connect our community members to Colorado food benefits (PEAK), Medicaid, ID services, and detox and transitional housing recovery programs. We assist individuals in finding the right program for their needs.
Mentoring and Hope
Our Peer Support Professionals walk with people on their recovery journeys – we share our tools, strategies, and experiences, encouraging recovery, and serving as an example that recovery is possible.
Empowerment
We empower you to live a self-directed life in recovery! Our Peer Support Professionals can help you step into your power and self-determine your own path towards wellbeing.
"When we start with a foundation of shared lived experiences, it opens the door to more authentic communication and deeper healing. When we know we can share anything because this person has been there, that's where the magic happens."
- Courtney Morey, CMWN Peer Support Professional

HWH’s mission is to help people on their journey to self-sufficiency by providing job training, employment placement, and mental health services all on-site at our commercial kitchen, while participants also receive housing through a partner or personal arrangement. Many of our participants currently reside in a shelter in the metro area.

"We believe all women have the power to transform their lives through employment. We envision a day when barriers to employment are eliminated, when employers hire based on talent and potential rather than background. We hope all women who want a second chance can come to the Bean Project and find the community, support and confidence needed to improve the future for themselves, their families and the community."

"The AID Center takes a trauma-informed public health approach to public safety by acting as a connection point to comprehensive community and systems-based services. It is a resource for law enforcement, the community, and individuals as both a continuum of services and an alternative response model."
