At The Network we offer “wellness planning workshops” to anyone who is interested in creating a personalized wellness tool. What does that mean? Well, there are a lot of wellness tools out there, just do a search for “wellness tools” or “wellness planning tools” and you will get a whole bunch of templates. These templates or tool kits are a self-care approach to maintaining or managing your health. They are most often used when someone has a chronic condition they want to manage better.

One very popular tool is the Wellness Recovery Action Plan (WRAP) created by Mary Ellen Copeland. Here’s a link for more info: http://mentalhealthrecovery.com/wrap-is/ (.) We have certified trained WRAP Facilitators here at The Network so we offer seven week workshops to help people create their own WRAP! Our next one is scheduled for Monday nights starting April 4th. What is a Wellness Plan?

Amanda Kearney-Smith

I founded the Network as the Executive Director in 2011 and, before that, I was a program director at Mental Health Colorado. My educational background is in Developmental Psychology, but living with bipolar disorder has drawn me to this work. I'm most passionate about protecting the civil rights and dignity of others. In my free time, I love reading, practicing yoga, and spending time with my family here and in Illinois.
